Hopefully, as an adult you’ll never experience a loose tooth. If you do discover that one of your teeth is loose, that’s a problem. Call us at Your Time Dental Urgent Care in Gibsonton. It could be an urgent problem that needs our attention.

Accidents

An accident can knock a tooth loose. An injury to the mouth area is always an emergency—whether or not a tooth is loose.

Should I See A Medical Doctor First?

For some injuries to the mouth, you should see a medical doctor first. If you have a wound or cut in your mouth that’s bleeding heavily, head to the E.R. or urgent care clinic.

After the primary injury is treated, we can treat the trauma and any tooth issues. You may need a root canal, filling, and/or protective crown.

We Replace Missing Teeth

If the tooth can’t be saved, you may need an extraction. Also, we can replace a missing tooth following extraction. At Your Time Dental Urgent Care, we provide emergency same day dental care, as well as tooth extractions and CEREC crowns and bridges.

We Treat Oral Infections

A localized infection can trigger or worsen a loose tooth. Either periodontitis (advanced gum disease) or tooth decay can lead to an infection. You should see us as soon as possible if you suspect an infection.

Swelling Jaw/Tooth Abscesses

If your jaw starts swelling, call us immediately. This could indicate a dangerous infection that needs treatment right away

Some infections lead to an abscess. An abscess is a pocket of pus. It can be located inside a tooth, in the gums, or in the jaw bone near the tooth root. An abscess usually causes severe pain. If you suspect an abscess, you need to see us promptly. If ignored, this can destroy the bone and eventually cause even more pain.

We Relieve Tooth Pain

All of the oral issues discussed in this post can cause tooth pain. If you come to Your Time Dental Urgent Care with severe tooth pain, we can give you medication.

Call us at Your Time Dental Urgent Care if you have any of the symptoms above. We serve Gibsonton, Riverview and Apollo Beach areas and we’re here to help. Open late as well as weekend hours.
